The Meltdown is a grassroots tournament started in 2008. The Meltdown has attracted hundreds of teams from over 14 states and annually operates at full capacity. The local Abington community takes tremendous pride in hosting the event and its diverse selection of traveling clubs. The community continues to collaborate on its mission to provide a first-class experience driven by constant improvement and innovation.
Meltdown's close proximity to Philadelphia, 12 centrally located fields and multiple access parking lots make it the perfect tournament venue. Personal team pages, live reported results and internet based standings make it as one of the most progressive tournaments in the country. Put your team in action! Join the 88 competitive clubs that battle each year for the Brindle Cup.
Colin Ambler founded the Meltdown as part of the Drexel University Co-Op program and has continued to direct all operations throughout its four-year growth.
